11 DAY EPIC UGANDA, RWANDA & BURUNDI SAFARI ADVENTURE

Day 1: Pickup from the airport

Up on landing at Entebbe airport, you will be pickup at the airport by our company representative, who will brief you shortly before you are transferred to the hotel in Kampala for your overnight.

Day 2: Transfer to Jinja for White water rafting.Travel time +2hrs

Jinja has for some time been known as “The Adventure Capital of Uganda”. Jinja lies in the south east of Uganda, 54 miles (87 km) north east of the capital, Kampala. It is located on the shores of Lake Victoria, near to the source of the White Nile River.

After early breakfast, you will be picked by driver guide from your hotel at 6:30 am and head to Jinja. From Kampala it’s about 1 ½ hours to the spectacular Bujagali Falls. After being briefed, about rafting. Rafting starts for 5 – 31kms – 5/6 hours rafting and you will have the chance to watch the local fishermen and the fantastic birdlife. Alternatively choose to go for wild or mild. Here you choose to raft in the paddle-powered boats for one of the wildest raft rides on the planet, or opt to be rowed downstream by our professional guides in the safety raft.

 After a buffet lunch you will hit a series of more wild rapids, thereafter an evening BBQ will be served before return to Kampala for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Kampala – Fort Portal. Travel Time +5hrs

Today, you will be picked by your driver guide after getting done with the morning breakfast at 7:00 am and you will drive to Fort Portal which is located in the Western End of the country. You will have a beautiful view of the rolling country side and having a chance to see some of the tea plantations and numerous local vendor’s along the way as they sale their product. Kibale National Park is one of the most visited park, known as the home to chimpanzee which is the most attraction to this park beside nature walk and bird watching. The Park harbors over 1250 chimpanzee and also is known as the primate capital of the world with over 13 primates including the baboons, red colobus monkeys, red tailed monkey, Bush babies, black and white colobus, grey checked mangabeys, and much more. You will later check in at your hotel for lunch and spend the rest of the evening relaxing at your lodge.

Day 4: Kibale Forest National Park - Chimpanzee Tracking - Bigodi Wetlands

Wake up to the sounds of nature and enjoy breakfast before going chimpanzee tracking to get up close to these human relatives. Kibale is known as home of chimps having over 1250 chimpanzee and over 13 primates making it the primate capital of the World. You will be briefed before getting lost in the forest and you will have great opportunities to have both ground and up sittings. The trekking can last for 2 – 6 hours depending on the chimp movements. You will later return for lunch before heading to visit the Bigodi Wetlands; home to multiple primate species, mammals, over 200 bird species, many reptiles and a large variety of endemic flora and later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Kibale -Queen Elizabeth NP. Travel Time +3hrs

After breakfast, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park viewing the mystical Rwenzori Mountain range for much of the journey. Check in at your accommodation facility as you wait for your lunch. After lunch, take on an afternoon safari game drive to see some of the animals such as the elephants, waterbucks, bush bucks, buffaloes and much more. Return for dinner and overnight stay at lodge.

Day 6: Queen Elizabeth National Park

Early morning game drives to see more animals that habit this park, that include predators’ lion. Leopard and other game. Over 500 bird species have been identified here, making it a Mecca for bird-watchers. They include the black bee-eater, 11 different species of kingfisher and several falcons, eagles and other raptors. Queen Elizabeth National is one of the most outstanding treasures of Uganda, and has been designated a Biosphere Reserve for Humanity under UNESCO auspices. It borders on Lake George and Lake Edward as well as Kazinga Channel in the western area of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. After lunch take a 2-hour launch cruise on the Kazinga channel. This waterway joins Lakes Edward and George and it is filled with schools of hippos, buffaloes with elephants at the banks. This launch cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing.  The prolific bird life is colorful and stupendous with well over 550 resident species.

Day 7: Queen Elizabeth NP – Bwindi. Travel time +3hrs

Rise very early with your packed lunch take on a morning game drive to catch-up with the early risers and predators returning to their hideouts. You will most likely meet grazing Hippos, Elephants, and Lions, spotted Hyenas, bush buck, water buck, stripped jackal, comical warthogs and the elusive leopard atIshasha. You will drive along the deep and wide dry craters that are occupied by savanna grasses and acacia. The drive takes you through the unique western rift valley escarpment and the (southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park) Ishasha sector where you will take on yet another game drive in search of tree climbing lions before proceeding to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

The journey takes about 4 hours but driving through interesting features. Arrive Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the evening. This park is home of the rare mountain gorillas. Apart from gorillas, there are a wide variety of primates to see including the blue and red tailed monkeys. The forest itself is lush and green and there are streams running through it. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 8: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – Lake Buyonyi

Today, tick off gorilla tracking from your bucket list! With gorilla permits included, a guide and porters who will carry your shoulder pack, set off to the thick forest in search of gorillas after being briefed with your packed lunch and bottles or mineral water. The terrain can be difficult, with steep slopes covered in dense vegetation that gives the park its name. In addition, the altitude of 5200 feet and more means participants do need to be reasonably fit. The time taken to track the gorillas will vary enormously to gorilla and group movements, from as little as half an hour to as much as 6-7 hours before one returns to lodge for dinner and overnight. It is definitely not impossible and coming face to face with these amazing primates will reward you as you will be given an hour of interaction with these gentle giants looking as their social life as you watch the juveniles play and boost around you. You will return for lunch and after lunch, drive to Lake Buyonyi for your dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Canoe ride at Lake Bunyonyi& Transfer to Kigali.

You will head for your early morning canoe ride at Lake Bunyonyi to discover the hidden islands within this great lake which is known as the deepest lake in Uganda having a number of beautiful islands and harbors a number of bird species, being a birding paradise for the bird lovers. You will later return and drive to Musanzevia Cyanika boarderthen enter the customs, about the cost (30-60 minutes) after driving to Ruhengeri, to visit [Iby'Iwacu Cultural Village] visit (about 2 hours), where you will be Invite to join local songs and drumming performances, along with simple traditional food with locals. This is a good opportunity to learn about Rwanda's culture, customs and history.

Then use local lunch and return to Kigali after lunch, having a beautiful un winding view of the country side. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 10: Kigali - Burundi

After breakfast, head to Nuernway National Park. On the way, you can visit the King's Palace near Butare and enjoy the Rwandan "Shen Niu" long-horned cows. After that, you can go to Butare to eat lunch, then take a bus to Bujumbura to visit the [Flag Square] and visit [The rich area] feel the original customs. Then enjoy the sunset in the Burundian national hero [Prince of the Ruwagasol]. Return to the hotel to rest

Day 11:City tour and airport transfer
