2 DAYS NYIRAGONGO VOLCANO HIKING

 

 

Overview, this tour will give you a great opportunity to Discover Congo; explore the giant crater of Nyiragongo above its violently red Lava Lake.Youwill do it in Virunganational park; the tour will start and ends in Kigali. It can also be done starting in Kisoro/Uganda or Gisenyi/Rwanda.

Day 1: Arrival – Kigali-DRCongo

 

 

After Greetings and briefing, drive to DRCongo precisely Goma town via Musanze and Gisenyi, arrive in evening time, overnight at Caritas Guest house (mid class based on double rooms mixed with single ones, breakfasts; self-contained ones with hot shower and internet included).

 

 

Day 2: Goma-Virunga National Park

 

 

After early morning at 6:00 breakfasts, then drive to Virunga National Park precisely at Kibati where there is the post rangers patrol, after the registration and briefing, enjoy Nyiragongo volcano hike starting at 1994m and ending at 3470m altitude at the summit, see the impressive lava lake in the largest crater, dinner and overnight up the summit in the Virunga National park shelter.

 

 

Day 3: Nyiragongo volcano – Departure

 

 

After a very early morning visit to the lava lake again, have your breakfasts then descend the volcanic mountain with a view of Karisimbi and Mikeno Volcanic Mountains, arrive at the starting point, write comments, proceed with the drive  down town precisely at the Grande Barrière(Border), after immigration formalities, drive to Kigali. End of the trip.

 Including: Transport to and from Kigali, transport to and from kibati Ranger post , all meals on the summit; sleeping bags; Tourist visa; 2 nights’ accommodations; volcano trek permit; and English/French speaking guide and Cook; Meals and drinking water.
